Laura Allen Nonemaker
Laura’s desire to write took root as a child in Bermuda, when a favorite teacher at Mt. St. Agnes Academy published one of her essays in the local newspaper. Her aspirations sprouted again in Louisville, Kentucky during the 1980s, when she conceived the idea for TecNotes, a newsletter she wrote and edited for TubeTec Inc. During this period, she also studied commercial art at Jefferson Community College. Since then, Laura has written in a variety of genres and her work has appeared in Essence Treasury: Celebrating the Season, Alive! and Kentucky Monthly Magazine.
The publication of Benny’s Angel is the realization of a dream. It is the first book in the God’s Secret Garden Adventure Series. This colorful storybook uses delightful animal characters to convey to little hearts the importance of prayer and the value of trusting God.
Laura has been involved in short-term missions, including trips to Russia, Poland, and the University of the Nations in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Three years ago, her interest in the arts motivated her to join the planning team for Artful Missions. A growing organization located in Fort Myers, Florida, Artful Missions conducts juried art shows and donates most of the proceeds to outreaches in the U.S. and India to rescue women and children from human trafficking.
Laura is married to Paul Nonemaker, a retired airline pilot. Between them, they have five children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Laura’s hobbies include gardening, sewing, and boating with Paul.
Laura is available for interviews and speaking events.
Benny’s Angel is available for reviews, recommended gift lists, and bulk orders.

What an absolutely delightful looking book. I'm so sorry that the children in my family are all the wrong ages for the book.
